Advice on Training Range

Hey, I've been looking at what runescape's members want to know and need to know. Then i realized i don't have any guides on Tipsrs about how to level fast in all skill levels, such as good places to kill monsters, best spell to use to raise magic, best fish to get really good fishing. But in this first post I'm only going to talk about is range.

Knives or arrows or cannon? What kind should i use?

Knives: You will get faster experience with knives but you will also lose a lot more money. I would only go with knives if you don;t mind wasting money on knives because they go very VERY quickly... Also if your going to use knives i would go with iron, it's cheap and effective, you don't want to waste to much and iron is awesome to train with. Trust me..

-Prices: iron knives- 40-45gp.ea
-Where to buy: I would either go on the runescape forums or try world 2 next to the west bank of falador. You should see people selling arrows and knives right next to the tree's where players sell runes. (shown below in Map provided by Tip.it(circled in red)



Arrows: Arrows are what i use personally because they are cheaper than knives and i don't lose that many quickly. If your going to get arrows i would go with either bronze or iron because their cheap and when your training hardcore it really helps if there cheap because range isn't like melee you will lose arrows.... But you could go with steel if you have money it would be like using iron knives.. but it can cost quite a lot in the long run

-Where to buy: I would either go on the runescape forums or try world 2 next to the west bank of falador. You should see people selling arrows and knives right next to the tree's where players sell runes. (shown below in Map provided by Tip.it (above) OR at range shops all over runescape, theres one in varrock.

Cannon: Cannon's are very useful and again I would only use it if i want to raise my range very quickly and if i had money to waste because cannon's can be expensive. You load the cannon with 30 cannon balls and it shoots them, but you don;t get the cannon balls back like arrows and knifes.

-Prices: cannon-600k Cannon balls-
-Where to buy: The cannon can be bought on the mountain.... Cannon balls can be bought from the forums or from the same place in falador like knives and arrows.


My Choice: Bronze/Iron arrows



Places to train range:

Free world places:

level 1-21: Train at the cow's in lumbridge, there loads of cow's

Level's 1-31: In barbarian village, there a little house with barbarian's in it and there's tables. So you can range from one side of the table and not get hurt.

Level's 41-61: Guards in varrock castle, about 5-6 guards on the 3rd floor. Usually no one goes there.

Level's 61+: Lesser demons in karamja volcano, there you will find about 6-7 lessers and there rocks you can hide behind and range the lessers from.

Member places:

Level 1-21: Train at the cow's in lumbridge, there loads of cow's

Level's 21-31: Guards at the Edgeville jail (safe spot), and top floor of Varrock Palace.

Level's 41-61: Rock crabs located north east of Rellekka and west of the Keldagrim entrance.

level's 61+: Caged Ogres in King Lathas Training Camp, you can find this right next to androudge

Level 61+: Fire giants in the waterfall dungeon. Map here
